So here's my new toy. Sold my 5efte EP82 to get this as a daily commute.

It's an 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Got it for $4200 with 1yr rego, helmet and jacket, and 25000kms on the clock.

I did Mt Mee, Nebo and Maleny the day after I got it, and haven't died so far.

Down the quarter mile yes. But only cause this bike tops out at 170kmh. But up to 100kmh, I'd probably win.

So much fun working this thing through the gear, 6 speed and nice close ratios.

I don't know about that. You've got less capacity than my scotch glass... tongue.gif

Their nice bikes though. One of the only 250's that dont really look like a 250. The only give away is the tires. Ive riden a few of these. Definitely quicker and more comfortable than the cbr RR I had. The have a Fuel gauge too!

my old TD04L EP91 would munch those kwaka's and hyosung 250's every day of the week smile.gif
i loved it when they came down between the lanes to the front at the lights where i was...

still nice to get out on the bikes tho... When you choose to be a man again you'd love riding a larger CC'd bike biggrin.gif

if you have a wee before you go for a ride maybe , give you that slight weight advantage..
the 1000cc bikes are identical...hence why the motoGP is turned gay..

There's a reason it will only do that speed. My redlines at 12500rpm, in 6th gear this is roughly 170kmh.

If they changed the ratios for more top speed it would ruin the accelleration at low speed. These bikes only have 35hp, not really enough to push you past 200kmh. Especially a fat arse.

Its hell fun for everything below though. It eats v8's (specifically HSV GTS's smile.gif

I'm happy with it for now. Its got enough speed to be fun, but not too much that i'll kill myself straight away. I'll man up in a years time when I can get my unrestricted bike license,

dude , if you think that scooter will beat V8's your on another planet....unless it's an old VP GTS with a blown head gasket....
if you did try and drag off a GTS , i would garantee the driver confused you with a postie and didn't even try smile.gif

my daily drive now is a new ssv manual 6 litre , and the only chance those wipper snipper bikes can beat it , is when im reversing out the driveway....

Rookie man what ever it is your smoking mate i deff want sum!!! Ive been riding bikes all my life, 250's, 600's, 750's all the way up to the big busa. Kawa 250 ninja's are a commute bike not a super or sports bike. Like brad said, a nicely worked starlet with a TD04L would very easily munch them. But hey in time your going to want more speed and evetually your going to throw your leg over a big bike and when you do you'll know what we mean wink.gif
