I bought this car around 5 years ago as a temporary runabout after my EP82 was written off.
Still going strong but has been replaced so now needs to go to a new home.
A bargain at
$1000 reduced to $700 now $500 - too cheap not to buy! a temporary runabout for someone else, or if you are wanting to build that monster 5EFTE.
260,000 km on the clock.
Japanese import obviously.
Except for when the clutch died, this has been a reliable ride.
5EFHE 1500cc twin cam with toyota's variable induction wizardry.
New clutch installed around 18 months ago and oil leak fixed (around $1000 receipt)
Battery around 12 months ago.
Electric retracting mirrors
Air con going good, was regassed a couple of years back.
Good tyres - Pirelli front and Firestone rear.
Cloaking device that makes you invisible to the police (yes, it's that boring)
Only run on the good fuel, 98 or 95.
Great economy - will get a comfortable 450km from its little 35 litre tank in city driving.
New front brake pads.
Only has drum brakes on the rear which is odd given that it has the same front brakes as the EP82. Drums are around 2 years old though.
Passengers central locking works around half the time only.
One rear window is not working - still works as a window, just doesn't go down.
Had a nice little factory tail with brake light in it which is not on the car anymore after a low speed introduction to a tree.
Blue interior. In good condition but Blue. Why do that to a car?
Ride height at the rear is crazy high. Not sure what was done to the suspension by the previous owner, but it looks a bit strange.
Hole in one of the front indicator lenses, which didn't stop it getting a roadworthy 5 years ago, probably because it is a clear lens with an orange globe inside.
