Hi guys,

I was looking for a good little daily with economy and plenty of features, but just couldn't give up that performance itch (having owned in the past 17 years nothing but performance cars - (RX7s, WRXs, Liberty RS turbo, R32 GTR, S13 180SX, ST205 GT4, MR2, DC2R etc etc).

Pretty stoked to pick up a neat and clean little EP82 here which will be my new daily. I've had a big soft spot for the EP82/91 for many years now.

I'm eager to start doing some basic mods to improve it, without breaking the bank, nor ruining its impeccable DD qualities (i.e. I don't want lag, nor excessive wheelspin).

I already have fitted a dump pipe, and it has a full exhaust from the dump back now as well. It has coilovers, a boost gauge, air filter.

Next step should be a boost controller and an actuator?

I am tossing up the merits of acquiring an aftermarket exh manifold (for better flow and for engine safety so cyl 3 isn't running hot). However I want a steam pipe style or matte black for longevity; not interested in SS or shiny stuff that cracks :) Any ideas on which retailers have affordable ones for sale? I've seen some for around the 300-400 GBP mark which is probably more than I am willing to pay. If so, I'd just do an aftermarket turbo and be done with it (replete with exh manifold already!).

Also am tossing up a cheap upgrade to the standard intercooler. Something that is cheap and works. Don't mind retaining the TMIC or going to FMIC as long as its a stealthy/smallish FMIC setup with no hardcore fitment issues, nor cutting of stock bumpers etc etc. Any ideas?

The car drives nice now with the dump and full exhaust. Hopefully the actuator and b.controller can rack it up another notch again.

How well do the stock fuel pumps, injectors and CT9 flow? It'd be nice to see what the limits of the stock setup are, as it goes quite well as it is (with only dump + exhaust).

You say you want to keep it stockish but we know where that leads too........ as many of us do...... the mod bug bites hard.

Mine stayed stock for 1 week....

Cheers for all the warm welcomes! I would love to put up pics but I have zero idea how. Only thing I got here is something asking for a URL (to show an image), which is absolutely f-ing useless when I want to attach files from my computer :)
