rev playing after cleaning throttle body

Hi guy, i own a starlet ep82 1990 efi 

a few months back i removed the throttle body and washed it. from that day my rev keeps on playing it will go from 900 to 600 then 200. not frequently though...i changed the rev control sensor but it didn't make a difference

Did you use a new gasket on the throttle body ? perhaps its intermittently leaking. If its running lean it will hunt up and down like what you say.

no i didn't put a new gasket i used the same one. should i try putting a new one?

i made a mistake i changed the rave control valve not the sensor
