hi
yes its me dave loftus,
been busy racing the skyline, but have been playing turbos with the gtr and thought it might be fun in the starlet too.
first run on the weekend with turbo. hope to do a couple of rounds this year in it. yes it has a 36 mm turbo restrictor!!! (doh)
but makes 280ish fwhp on 10psi at the moment. I would post a engine pic but dont know how on this forum?

Few of us race at most track meets or are out and about, 1.07 is not a bad time, you should look at racing at lakeside better track, but with our crew we have 5 cars that race, 3 are getting engine freshen ups, one painted full body and engine rebuild, and the other MIA.

IF your after a time to chase josh did a 1.02 with 130hp

as for the 1.02 at 130 hp, i realised that the last tune i got at was 130 hp when im running 14 psi but i wasn only running 8 psi today. so it was more like 110 ish i guess, i wanna get about 1.05 ish at low boost and eventually when i get a retune (due to a shitty boost controller and actuator on the last tune) i wann get around the 1.03/1.02 mark

but yea its looks like a good goal, i was cut a little short today the last sesion for my group it started raining so i didnt bother going out.
it was awsome time but i seemed to be having baking problem a little of boiled fluid and brake fade didnt help.

ill havta look into the lakeside sprints, kinda wanna get into the mt cotton hillclimbs as well.

Ben

LOL, did think about it, but there was a wet patch all day, in the usual spot just b4 tha last corner, and after going throug that i had trouble keep ing the rear end facing the right way,,,lol.
and that was when it was dry, so i didnt wanna risk bending my car, its my daylie and im a piss poor broke uni student,,lol.

kinda suprised tho i was loosing the rear b4 the front, constdering i dont have a rear sway bar, just the stock front and TRD coils. oh well might be able to save money oon not having to buy one i guess. HA

Congrats mate, good time for your setup. Are you heading out to lakeside anytime soon? with any luck ill be out at the next one. Ive got over $290 credit at qr and lakeside because of last minute drop outs due to breakages. Your either gunna need semi's or more power to crack the 62's

cheers guys, im pretty confident i can even improve that time with the setup i have at the moment, as soon as i get the misfire problem solved it will give heaps better accleration out of the corners.

if i can get a low 64 with this setup (with problem solved) consistanlty ill be looking at getting some semis, then i stick with the evos out ther, as im only about 2-3 sec off there pace.

cant wait till next time to get more experience, but mainly its so much fun (expecially when i dont break anything). hope to see more starlets tho next time.
ill be looking at getting to lakeside once iv meet my 1.02 goal at QR. i think im happy with the power about 130hp, its easy to go fast with an aftermarket turbo but wanna stay with the CT9 and get as fast i i can with that, by using good consistant flow and keeping good pace through the slower corners.

like jezza u doin 1.05 on a 4e-FE is mental, that so fast fo NA FWD and only 1.3lt
