2.5" gets good results. I was wondering was Dan using the 13T as that would make a good comparison or did you weight the wheels by any chance. Dans dyno showed insane boost looks like 19psi at 3000rpm, realistically I think for  fuel economy would need 2 boost settings for city driving would be more comfortable with around 15psi at 3000.

This make no sense. If you have a wastegate with max 19psi, you can still get 15psi at 3000rpm. You simply end up using less throttle. So example...19psi is at 100% throttle...15psi is at 70% throttle.

Yes It was shimmed with a 1mm washer.

Where exactly does the washer go?

I will share a trade secret that ive been using for a while and that is "how do you weld a nut central to the hole" ?

Well you can drill the hole size out 1mm oversize here and use a countersunk bolt like so...

The nut has been welded on each side to both brackets and setup ready for installation.

The taper of the bolt centralises the nut to the hole . Quite simple really....

Ready to weld !!!

Thanks for sharing these tips. Never thought about doing it this way.

I was boxing day shopping and saw this clean stock looking (besides the wheels) Toyota Corolla. Don't see these much any more. Post some gems you've seen on your travels or you own.

Those rims look pretty cool. Never seen anything like that before.
